Search more privately with Google Go’s new Incognito mode

Google Go is an lightweight browser for faster search experience. It almost save up to 40% of data upon searches. There are much more features like use camera to read from the image for search, Voice search, Easy language switching, greeting sharing option with friends are packed in Google Go.

As a Enhanced feature, now Google Go has been given out with new privacy mode option for better privacy to user searches. Usually when the user make a search in Google Go, searches will appear in the app for faster search experience. But there are cases, user wants to make their search private. To handle this situation, enhanced feature of Incognito mode is been introduced in Google Go. Now you will be having the full control on the searches which you are performing.

How to use Incognito mode:

  • Open Google Go app.
  • Before start searching, hit on the Incognito option the in search bar. To make sure your searches are private, check whether the private searches are been appearing above the search bar.
  • To exit from the Incognito mode, hit on the Incognito option again.

When you are in Incognito mode and phone screen is off for 30 minutes, app will automatically get closed without your searches and history been stored.

When you are Incognito mode, some features like bookmarks and others will not be available. Keep in mind, Incognito mode will never hide your activity from the website you visit,ISP and employer or school when searching from office or school network.

Google Go's product Manager Radha Narayan stated that "We’re continuously adding new features to Google Go, and hope that this new mode will help people control their privacy more easily".

This Incognito mode is planned to rollout in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
